Obstetrician (FRANZCOG)

Following completion of a BSC (Hons) and PhD in Biochemistry, at London University, Jeanie emigrated to New Zealand and underwent General Medical and then Specialist training here in Auckland and Dunedin. Jeanie has established a large gynaecological practice on the North Shore and has also worked with the Kate Sheppard midwives since 2000. Her philosophy regarding childbirth has always accommodated women’s choice, while remaining within the guidelines of safe practice.

Jeanie brings to Beginnings a wide knowledge base particularly in the field of endocrinology; including thyroid issues, diabetes and metabolic problems. She is excited to be part of the new team at Beginnings and firmly believes in the midwife-specialist model of care.
